Meet the Saito family!!! This family is just adorable and they toughed out some pretty intense conditions at the beach during their session. Family sessions with a two-month-old and a two-year-old can be challenging in and of itself, but to add to it we had gusting winds and quickly dropping temperatures throughout the shoot. I loved their energy and enthusiasm though, they kept pushing forward through it all! In addition to shooting photos of the entire family, one of my favorite additions to every family session is to get photos of mommies and daddies with their little ones. Nothing says LOVE like a kiss and a hug from a child :) I like to just let families {play} and we get some really cute candid shots! A special thanks goes out to MY momma for coming along on this shoot to help out with the lights because I knew it would be so windy! <3

This maternity session was very special for me as I had the joy and privilage of photographing my oldest and dearest friend. Brandi and I met freshman year of highschool playing soccer {and having 4 out of 6 classes together!} and have been best friends ever since :) When I found out that Brandi and Trent were expecting a little bundle of joy I was through the moon! "I HAVE to shoot your maternity photos!" were the first words out of my mouth {after "OH MY GOSH!!!!! YAY!" - of course}. I couldn't be happier for these two and know that they will make the best parents. Baby Landon is one lucky little guy to have them as his parents, role models, friends, supporters, and most of all soccer instructors ;) haha but in all seriousness, congrats you guys. I love you both!
Meet Turok!!! This little bundle of joy was three weeks old when I photographed him which is typically much older than you'd want to shoot newbie photos...but he pleasantly surprised me by doing AMAZING!! I haven't had the opportunity to shoot newborn photos in a while so was very excited to be shooting Turok just a few weeks after doing maternity photos for mom and dad! We knew going into it that black and white would be our main focus, but wanted to throw in some outdoor natural light, gorgeous Florida color in the end! After a quick rain break {which turned out to be useful for a quick feeding break as well} we were able to get outside for a few wide awake photos. Turok has amazing wide eyes and they seemed to stare right through me. One of the photos from this session is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. When dad held Turok in his arm, Turok reached down and held onto his daddy's finger...my heart melted in this magical moment. I loved that I was able to deliver these images just in time for his first father's day! :) I can't wait to watch Turok grow up in front of my camera...see ya'll in a few months!
We love the Robinson family, and I ADORE these photos from their beach session!!! Last year we had the honor of photographing Joanna's maternity session and also Zachary's newborn session-almost one year later they came back to us for family photos right before Zachary turned O.N.E!! :) Joanna and I discussed {in detail haha} what colors work best at the beach and how to color coordinate a family's wardrobe for a session- I gotta say, she did one heck of a job! They are all beautiful and we had a great night at the beach. A big thanks goes out to her sister who was there to assist in making Zachary smile by running in and out of the scene over and over....and over....and over...!!! I hope ya'll enjoy these photos as much as I do!
What a sweet and loving family this is!!! I am so happy that we finally were able to schedule a session after months of talking and planning :) I am happy to have met this wonderful crew. It was absolutely freezing outside but these kids hung in there! Little Miss was just amazing....she posed her little booty off and didn't stop smiling for the whole session. I was incredibly impressed with not only her smiling abilities, but also her kindness to me and her little brother. And we can certainly thank the Heavens for a beautiful sky and sunset!
How beautiful is this family! These kids have the most gorgeous eyes-and they get it from their momma {can't you tell}!!! I loved this location because we had two completely different scenes to work with. We started off with some country rustic-I like to call those kids "the travelers" :) I've been wanting to use that trunk for a long time and they fit perfectly along side it. We finished off the session on the beach as the sun went down....I adore how Becky dressed everyone, they look so darn cute! What a gorgeous sunset we had. I love having the privilege of photographing another photographer's family!
The Boyette's decided they wanted to do their Christmas photos on the beach...with a little bit of a twist! With Kristi came to me with the idea of bringing a tree and presents I was thrilled. I loved how creative and unique it was! Then she told me she wanted to build a sand snowman and I thought...oh boy, that is going to be a challenge {but fun!} Unfortunately I was unable to attend this session as I wasn't feeling well, but Clint took over and he nailed it! I love these photos, and this family. Merry Christmas everyone!
We headed to Indian Rocks Beach a few weeks ago to shoot the Robertson gang! Finally (for once!) we didn't have to fight any rain, wind or bugs- we just had perfect weather and a perfect sunset! We had the opportunity to visit with this wonderful family before we started shooting; it was great to catch up with you guys! Our main goal for this evening's session was to capture the entire family looking great in one photo since they were all vacationing together-a feat that was failed last summer due to immediate downpour. I'd say we succeeded with flying colors! :) Of course shooting individual photos of these adorable kiddies and making sure mom and dad got some cute photos was on the agenda too! Hope you guys are adjusting to real life again-can't wait to catch up again soon!
Last weekend my family came up to Brooksville to visit. They wanted to take a look at our new studio and we also took advantage of the time here to take some family photos. What started off as a simple family session, soon turned into portraits, headshots, fashion photos and this AMAZING SKY! So needless to say we had a lot of fun, taking a lot of photos! Its fun (and sweaty) being photographer and subject at the same time!
