Its always a unique experience being able to photograph your own family, and these four are no strangers to being in front of my camera! Clint and I have had the privilege of photographing Shelby, Brian, Colt and Brantley numerous times over the past few years. From Christmas pictures and family portraits, to newborn and one-year-old sessions...we've been a part of it all!! For this session, they decked themselves out in flannel and kicked off their shoes for a lake front photo shoot! The cool fall air had decided to turn the leaves on the property from green to yellow and red-I love the look of cool autumn air in these images! We love you guys!

Say hello to the Ruskin family!!! I had the opportunity to photograph these adorable twin boys at the beginning of this year, and was so excited to be able to get them in front of my camera again! Originally we had a different location picked out, but {thankfully} the location became unusable so Stefani had the idea of using their amazing property for the backdrop! We loved having the opportunity to shoot somewhere completely different. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera in hand to capture the moments leading up to these amazing photos-it was a sight to be seen! Clint hopped on board the immoble tractor and steered as Dad, Jerry, pulled it behind his truck to position it where we needed it to be. The things we do to get the perfect shot! :)
How beautiful is this family! These kids have the most gorgeous eyes-and they get it from their momma {can't you tell}!!! I loved this location because we had two completely different scenes to work with. We started off with some country rustic-I like to call those kids "the travelers" :) I've been wanting to use that trunk for a long time and they fit perfectly along side it. We finished off the session on the beach as the sun went down....I adore how Becky dressed everyone, they look so darn cute! What a gorgeous sunset we had. I love having the privilege of photographing another photographer's family!
The Boyette's decided they wanted to do their Christmas photos on the beach...with a little bit of a twist! With Kristi came to me with the idea of bringing a tree and presents I was thrilled. I loved how creative and unique it was! Then she told me she wanted to build a sand snowman and I thought...oh boy, that is going to be a challenge {but fun!} Unfortunately I was unable to attend this session as I wasn't feeling well, but Clint took over and he nailed it! I love these photos, and this family. Merry Christmas everyone!
