Meet Cali and Chris!!! These two fell in love nearly instantly after meeting at USF several years back. Cali said, "I knew I needed to talk to him the moment I saw him walk into my class!" After many lunch/dinner dates at Chili's they were inseparable. And what a wonderful pair they are :) This is another couple that I just absolutely loved shooting and I am so so happy with the session and the photos! There were so many things about this session that made it so perfect :) First of all-can we all just saw these two have impeccable style!? I freaked when I saw them get out of the car in their first outfit and the next was just as good! The vintage flair and hint of old fashioned style paired so well with the 100+ year old brick streets of downtown Brooksville. This time of year there are pink flowers blooming all over the city and Cali spotted them as soon as we got out of the car-perfect! These two had amazing energy, tons of laughter, and the ability to feel right at home in each other's arms...they are so in love, its beautiful! They told me the day would not be complete without getting into their Lightning jerseys really quickly for a few shots right at the end as they are massive fans. Can't argue with that! Thanks for an amazing session and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding this fall {I'm expecting you to look very dapper, Chris; and Cali, you'll be beautiful} !!! Meet Rachel and James!! These two were just amazing and I can't say enough wonderful things about them and this session. I love everything about these photos and am so happy to have had the opportunity to be a part of these guys love story!! And what a story it is! Rachel and James met in 2012 while line dancing and Rachel noticed "the cute blode guy" across the dance floor...three years later while backpacking through Europe James got down on one knee and proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower! It doesn't get much better than that!! I love meeting couples who have amazing energy and a true, natural love for each other. It was so evident watching them play around that they are madly in love - witnessing this is one of the many many reasons I love my job! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this fall :)
Megan & Kristian {witha-k, of course!} Let me just start off by saying that I LOVED the idea of shooting at the Trop in St Pete. For those of you who don't know what I mean when I say "The Trop"...get with the program Tampa Bay! Tropicana Field, home of the Rays, was a great place to start with these two. They came dressed in their sports gear and were ready for action. I loved the playful spirit of Megan when she put on Kristian's hat-she worked that camera! After some fun at the Trop we headed downtown for some more elegant sunset shots. They were careful not to fall into the water as I had them standing on the sea wall as to get as close to the water as possible. It wasn't an easy task for either of us-while they prevented falling, I tried my best not to get run over by bikers, skate boarders, and runners zooming up and down the sidewalk! We finished the evening with a few night shots where I told them "Hold very, very still...I promise these will be cool!" They did great and I love the variety of shots we got during their session. I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year! :)
I absolutely loved shooting Laura and Terry...by the time the engagement session rolled around, Laura and I had spoken through text so much that I felt like I already knew her and we had become friends! The planning process is something that I love to be involved in...it helps me really get to know my brides and their personalities together. Besides the obvious reason for engagement sessions {pretty pictures for save-the-dates, of course!} it gives me an opportunity to meet the couple and feel out who they are which makes the wedding day that much more fun and easier to photograph! This session was especially telling because I found out how laid back these two are! We were surrounded by massive storms on all sides of us and literally changed outfits four times in one hour to fit it all in before we got slammed with torrential downpour. They ran up and down the board walk and nailed the shot, then on to the next! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year at the Florida Aquarium {8.6.16} Love the save-the-date idea! You two are the best!
Jillian and Josh are just as sweet as can be, and I love when couples incorporate their children and pets into a session! After all, a marriage is a blending not just of each other but of each other's entire lives. As with many engagement sessions I do, the soon-to-be wife is much more thrilled with taking pictures for two hours than the soon-to-be husband...but I'm always happy to say that when a session is complete, HE loves the photos just as much as SHE does even if it was torture getting through it ;) ha ha! My favorite photo from this session is this one right below with Jillian donning Josh's fire helmet. It is amazing to honor our hometown heroes and I love when a woman is proud of her man! I feel blessed to be able to photograph fire, police and military in uniform! Thanks for letting me capture these memories for you and I'll be seeing you both again in one short month for your wedding!
Nicole and Travis were just great!!! I loved every minute of shooting these two. They both have infectious energy and Nicole's laugh is simply contagious! We had a blast and I'm definitely looking forward to their wedding next spring! We hit a lot of different spots during this Tampa engagement session. Clint and I brought down our full studio set up so we could do a "stars and stripes" theme in their apartment-it was something different for my typical engagement session and I love how these turned out! Next we went onto McDill for some waterfront property and as soon as we got out of the car the wind kicked in high gear! I timed the shots to when Nicole's hair was laying nicely {but she always looks beautiful, regardless!} We finished up with some night shots which is semi-new territory for us but I love the way they pop against the dark sky and gorgeous Tampa night lights. Thanks for a great evening guys and we're both so happy for you!
Lauren and Mark's engagement session was held in Hernando County, FL. I loved shooting these two, and their persistence was epic- we battled swarms of biting bugs, boaters needing to use the dock, and the rocking of the water beneath us! Lauren came with a lot of props which is always tons of fun-it really helps us get creative! These photos truly show how much love these two have for each other...just look at the way she stares at him {and he stares back}! Another awesome part of this session? These birds stuck around for the entire time, watching and admiring as well :) I can't wait to photograph ya'lls wedding this October!
My goodness, where to begin with these two!? Aren't they just the cutest couple you've ever seen? :) We met Casey and Don down at St Pete beach for an evening engagement session as the sun went down. Clint and I had been on the beach for a few hours before they got there, walking up and down and back and forth searching for the most perfect location(s) for their photos...and I am so happy with what we found! A mix of romance, elegance, playful fun and most of all beautiful love! I have to give props to Casey for stickin' it out during our session because it was freezing out! Silly Florida weather. But she did great and looked beautiful the whole time. This was C. R Newman's first engagement session on the beach and I gotta say, I'm sold!!! :)
