Meet Lisa and Chris!!! These are two totally awesome people with kind hearts and one seriously cool "fur family" !! They invited me out to their new property for the engagement session and I was blown away with how gorgeous this place is. Lisa and Chris plan on building a house and a barn this summer and will be getting married in the new barn in December! I am so excited to see everything come together :) When we started the session the first thing I noticed is that I was walking through a massive field full of free running horses {and trying really really hard to avoid stepping in any horse poo lol!} Once in position I got to play with fur babies number 1 & 2 as we attempted to get both of them to look at me for a quick pose. What adorable pups they were wearing signs stating "Mommy and Daddy are getting married!" and "12-10-16" Next it was on to Lisa and Chris where I enjoyed watching them laugh and giggle as I told them, just have fun! This is always my favorite part of a session because true personalities really come out! Finally it was time to play with fur babies 3 through 9 {big, stomp on your feet, can kill you with one swift kick, fur babies!} I really loved this experience as I got to witness this couple with their majestic looking Clydesdale - how powerful yet gentle he was! As we finished up the session Lisa invited all the horses over to "play" with us and before I knew it I had 6 other horses galloping my way and surrounding me to check me out. One sniffed my hair as the other attempted to eat my shirt-while a bit intimidating, it was a magical experience! I'll never forget how it felt to feel so in tune with nature and the animal kingdom...and of course I'll never forget running across the field flapping my arms like a chicken to demonstrate "this is my space!" haha I'm sure Lisa and Chris will never forget the visual either! Thanks for an awesome session guys; ya'll were great and I'm so looking forward to your wedding in December!

Meet Anina and Johnny!!! What a cute couple these two are, both so sweet and {once broken out of their shell} quite funny! Anina and Johnny met through mutual friends EIGHT years ago and Johnny, AKA Mr. Romantic, remembered the exact day they met and planned an elaborate year long proposal plan that was to take place on this exact same date-December 18! During a holiday gift exchange Anina opened a gift from Johnny with an adorable book inside that stated the following: "Tonight I hope you say yes.....to give me the opportunity to be your ONE and ONLY...Will you marry me? [ ] Yes [ ] No [ ] Maybe" Classically adorable! Of course she said yes <3 This was another engagement session that I'm obsessing over! We debated back and forth for weeks about where to shoot and we were on the hunt for "lots of flowers." We ended up at The University of Tampa and then Hyde Park where I had fun getting creative with the colorful flowers, plant life, gorgeous scenery and so many fun areas to play with downtown! I'm so happy for these two and know that they are true soulmates. I'm thankful to have met them both! Congrats, love birds!
Meet Cali and Chris!!! These two fell in love nearly instantly after meeting at USF several years back. Cali said, "I knew I needed to talk to him the moment I saw him walk into my class!" After many lunch/dinner dates at Chili's they were inseparable. And what a wonderful pair they are :) This is another couple that I just absolutely loved shooting and I am so so happy with the session and the photos! There were so many things about this session that made it so perfect :) First of all-can we all just saw these two have impeccable style!? I freaked when I saw them get out of the car in their first outfit and the next was just as good! The vintage flair and hint of old fashioned style paired so well with the 100+ year old brick streets of downtown Brooksville. This time of year there are pink flowers blooming all over the city and Cali spotted them as soon as we got out of the car-perfect! These two had amazing energy, tons of laughter, and the ability to feel right at home in each other's arms...they are so in love, its beautiful! They told me the day would not be complete without getting into their Lightning jerseys really quickly for a few shots right at the end as they are massive fans. Can't argue with that! Thanks for an amazing session and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding this fall {I'm expecting you to look very dapper, Chris; and Cali, you'll be beautiful} !!! Oh, and best hash tag ever: #WhenAManfreLovesAWoman
Meet Rachel and James!! These two were just amazing and I can't say enough wonderful things about them and this session. I love everything about these photos and am so happy to have had the opportunity to be a part of these guys love story!! And what a story it is! Rachel and James met in 2012 while line dancing and Rachel noticed "the cute blode guy" across the dance floor...three years later while backpacking through Europe James got down on one knee and proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower! It doesn't get much better than that!! I love meeting couples who have amazing energy and a true, natural love for each other. It was so evident watching them play around that they are madly in love - witnessing this is one of the many many reasons I love my job! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this fall :)
Congrats to Cydnee and Grey who are recently engaged!!! I just loved photographing these two - they were sweet as could be! I am looking forward to photographing their wedding this November :) I knew showing up to this session that we were going to have a bit of a {weather issue} to deal with...COLD! I had on so many layers - leggings, jeans, two pairs of socks, boots, long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt, coat, hat and gloves - and my poor bride-to-be Cydnee was dedicated enough to this session to wear a dress!! She told me she bought the dress a little while ago specifically to wear to the session and she was GOING TO WEAR IT, no matter what! People ask me often if they can bring their fur babies to their engagement session and the answer is always yes!! I just love having the whole gang there; afterall, they are part of the family! These pups were too adorable and I loved shooting them with "mom and dad" near the end of the session. Just so cute! Thanks for a great session guys - see ya'll in November!
Congrats to Delisa & Josh! These two were as sweet as can be :) And Delisa was elegance at its finest. She has the best smile but looks just as gorgeous when she is at peace and in love nestled up in Josh's arms. We took these photos at Phillipe Park and its no secret that this is a VERY popular photo spot in Pinellas County. We had to {fight} for space amongst 20-30 other photographers at the park that night. From family sessions, to kids running around, and other engagement sessions going on, there was not a shortage of people to avoid in the shot. But Delisa and Josh were great at being patient and "holding the pose" until someone walked past! ;) I wish these two a lifetime of happiness and am grateful to have met them.
Megan & Kristian {witha-k, of course!} Let me just start off by saying that I LOVED the idea of shooting at the Trop in St Pete. For those of you who don't know what I mean when I say "The Trop"...get with the program Tampa Bay! Tropicana Field, home of the Rays, was a great place to start with these two. They came dressed in their sports gear and were ready for action. I loved the playful spirit of Megan when she put on Kristian's hat-she worked that camera! After some fun at the Trop we headed downtown for some more elegant sunset shots. They were careful not to fall into the water as I had them standing on the sea wall as to get as close to the water as possible. It wasn't an easy task for either of us-while they prevented falling, I tried my best not to get run over by bikers, skate boarders, and runners zooming up and down the sidewalk! We finished the evening with a few night shots where I told them "Hold very, very still...I promise these will be cool!" They did great and I love the variety of shots we got during their session. I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year! :)
I absolutely loved shooting Laura and Terry...by the time the engagement session rolled around, Laura and I had spoken through text so much that I felt like I already knew her and we had become friends! The planning process is something that I love to be involved in...it helps me really get to know my brides and their personalities together. Besides the obvious reason for engagement sessions {pretty pictures for save-the-dates, of course!} it gives me an opportunity to meet the couple and feel out who they are which makes the wedding day that much more fun and easier to photograph! This session was especially telling because I found out how laid back these two are! We were surrounded by massive storms on all sides of us and literally changed outfits four times in one hour to fit it all in before we got slammed with torrential downpour. They ran up and down the board walk and nailed the shot, then on to the next! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year at the Florida Aquarium {8.6.16} Love the save-the-date idea! You two are the best!
Nicole and Travis were just great!!! I loved every minute of shooting these two. They both have infectious energy and Nicole's laugh is simply contagious! We had a blast and I'm definitely looking forward to their wedding next spring! We hit a lot of different spots during this Tampa engagement session. Clint and I brought down our full studio set up so we could do a "stars and stripes" theme in their apartment-it was something different for my typical engagement session and I love how these turned out! Next we went onto McDill for some waterfront property and as soon as we got out of the car the wind kicked in high gear! I timed the shots to when Nicole's hair was laying nicely {but she always looks beautiful, regardless!} We finished up with some night shots which is semi-new territory for us but I love the way they pop against the dark sky and gorgeous Tampa night lights. Thanks for a great evening guys and we're both so happy for you!
Anne and Pat were great!!! They were down for anything and even climbed some trees! We had some amazing luck during this session as I drove through massive storms the entire way to the location...had an hour and a half clearing of no rain...and then I drove home through more massive storms. I'm so happy that we were able to fit everything in that they wanted without being rained out! Before the session Anne came to me with an inspiration photo that she wanted to recreate-a photo taken of her and Pat the day they first said "I love you" to each other at a tail gating event. As she leaned on his shoulder and he smiled up at me I could feel the memories flooding back of what it must have been like for those two as they realized they wanted to be together forever. Love stories get to me! And I love these two being in love :)
Lauren and Mark's engagement session was held in Hernando County, FL. I loved shooting these two, and their persistence was epic- we battled swarms of biting bugs, boaters needing to use the dock, and the rocking of the water beneath us! Lauren came with a lot of props which is always tons of fun-it really helps us get creative! These photos truly show how much love these two have for each other...just look at the way she stares at him {and he stares back}! Another awesome part of this session? These birds stuck around for the entire time, watching and admiring as well :) I can't wait to photograph ya'lls wedding this October!
So excited to be sharing Chris and Mallory's engagement photos! I enjoyed photographing these two so much and cannot wait to capture all their special moments at their wedding this October! Thank you for letting us be a part of your love story :) Mallory and Chris met at the gym they both go to and apparently it was meant to be from the start! After meeting, the two ran into each other all of the time outside of the gym and soon formed a relationship that is just so apparently wonderful. He asked-she said yes. And so the love story begins! <3
My goodness, where to begin with these two!? Aren't they just the cutest couple you've ever seen? :) We met Casey and Don down at St Pete beach for an evening engagement session as the sun went down. Clint and I had been on the beach for a few hours before they got there, walking up and down and back and forth searching for the most perfect location(s) for their photos...and I am so happy with what we found! A mix of romance, elegance, playful fun and most of all beautiful love! I have to give props to Casey for stickin' it out during our session because it was freezing out! Silly Florida weather. But she did great and looked beautiful the whole time. This was C. R Newman's first engagement session on the beach and I gotta say, I'm sold!!! :)
Congrats to Anie and Peter who are freshly engaged!!! These two love birds have been engaged for just one month and were clearly flying high on love! I asked Anie how Peter proposed to her and she told me that he rented out a movie theater to play a slideshow for her and propose while watching their love story unfold-how stinkin' romantic is that!! Very impressive, Peter, very impressive!! Their session was the second of the day, and it seemed that the rain, wind and cold was not going to let up. But it certainly didn't break the spirit of Anie and Peter who ran around playing with balloons, kissing in the mist, and cuddling under an umbrella as the rain passed. You guys did great and we were so happy to be a part of this special time!
Meet Jacque and Jarrod! These two are amazing :) Jarrod loves Jacque to the moon and back and its so apparent that he would do anything for her! People like this make my heart smile! I am excited to say that they have also asked us to be a part of their wedding day next March and we are so happy to be included in this special celebration! Thank you for letting us be a part of this journey! We got some adorable details about the engagement during their session and its just too cute not to share. When I asked how Jarrod proposed, Jacque told me that they went to breakfast and he had written "Will you marry me?" on a stack of pancakes. She didn't see it at first and he had to keep telling her to look! When she finally did she of course said YES! :) Congratulations you two!
Last weekend we traveled to Tampa (I know...such a journey!) to shoot Lesly and Frank. These two showed up dressed impeccably well, and I just loved their style. From classy and elegant, to trendy downtown style...they sure knew how to put on their best look!! This was our first engagement session downtown, and we got to experience some new locations that made for some unique and different backdrops for us! Thanks for a great day, and we hope you have a great honeymoon guys!! :)
