I absolutely loved shooting Laura and Terry...by the time the engagement session rolled around, Laura and I had spoken through text so much that I felt like I already knew her and we had become friends! The planning process is something that I love to be involved in...it helps me really get to know my brides and their personalities together. Besides the obvious reason for engagement sessions {pretty pictures for save-the-dates, of course!} it gives me an opportunity to meet the couple and feel out who they are which makes the wedding day that much more fun and easier to photograph! This session was especially telling because I found out how laid back these two are! We were surrounded by massive storms on all sides of us and literally changed outfits four times in one hour to fit it all in before we got slammed with torrential downpour. They ran up and down the board walk and nailed the shot, then on to the next! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year at the Florida Aquarium {8.6.16} Love the save-the-date idea! You two are the best!

Jillian and Josh are just as sweet as can be, and I love when couples incorporate their children and pets into a session! After all, a marriage is a blending not just of each other but of each other's entire lives. As with many engagement sessions I do, the soon-to-be wife is much more thrilled with taking pictures for two hours than the soon-to-be husband...but I'm always happy to say that when a session is complete, HE loves the photos just as much as SHE does even if it was torture getting through it ;) ha ha! My favorite photo from this session is this one right below with Jillian donning Josh's fire helmet. It is amazing to honor our hometown heroes and I love when a woman is proud of her man! I feel blessed to be able to photograph fire, police and military in uniform! Thanks for letting me capture these memories for you and I'll be seeing you both again in one short month for your wedding!
Nicole and Travis were just great!!! I loved every minute of shooting these two. They both have infectious energy and Nicole's laugh is simply contagious! We had a blast and I'm definitely looking forward to their wedding next spring! We hit a lot of different spots during this Tampa engagement session. Clint and I brought down our full studio set up so we could do a "stars and stripes" theme in their apartment-it was something different for my typical engagement session and I love how these turned out! Next we went onto McDill for some waterfront property and as soon as we got out of the car the wind kicked in high gear! I timed the shots to when Nicole's hair was laying nicely {but she always looks beautiful, regardless!} We finished up with some night shots which is semi-new territory for us but I love the way they pop against the dark sky and gorgeous Tampa night lights. Thanks for a great evening guys and we're both so happy for you!
Anne and Pat were great!!! They were down for anything and even climbed some trees! We had some amazing luck during this session as I drove through massive storms the entire way to the location...had an hour and a half clearing of no rain...and then I drove home through more massive storms. I'm so happy that we were able to fit everything in that they wanted without being rained out! Before the session Anne came to me with an inspiration photo that she wanted to recreate-a photo taken of her and Pat the day they first said "I love you" to each other at a tail gating event. As she leaned on his shoulder and he smiled up at me I could feel the memories flooding back of what it must have been like for those two as they realized they wanted to be together forever. Love stories get to me! And I love these two being in love :)
