Congratulations to Megan and Kristian who got married last weekend at Nova 535 in St Petersburg, FL! This is a unique and trendy art venue tucked away in downtown St Pete with fun architecture, a bamboo courtyard and old brick walls lined with art work and personalized wedding details. It was a gorgeous day in St Pete, the warmest wedding day I've had so far this year, but it was clear with blue skies and puffy white clouds! I met Megan at her hotel downtown while Clint headed over to be with the guys for some getting ready pictures. Walking into the room I knew it was going to be a fun day as I was greeted by 10 bridesmaids, joyful children, proud mommas and a glowing bride! This day was unique as we were able to do several "first looks" with Megan and the people that mean the most to her in her life. Tears flowed as Megan and Kristian saw each other for the first time and they didn't stop flowing when her dad and then brother had a first peek at her minutes before the ceremony. "We want to try and get all the tears out now!" they said! After officially becoming husband and wife we did a quick set of formals because these two, along with their friends and families, wanted to spend as much time as possible celebrating this new marriage. The reception was full of dancing, laughter {in part because Kristian's dad is hilarious!} and lots and lots of love. Thanks for letting us be a part of this journey with you guys!

Congratulations to Courtney and John who got married last weekend in Dade City! This wedding was brilliant and beautiful to me for so many reasons. Courtney and John had originally planned to get married a month ago but needed to postpone due to health reasons of their daughter. After some time she recovered {we all thank God!} and the wedding was rescheduled for April 2nd. April 2nd rolls around and there is the worst weather possible for an outdoor wedding. Torrential downpour, thunder and cracks of lightning, and not much of a back up plan. I woke up thinking "I hope these two are on board with shooting some awesome rain photos because I'm ready for it!" By some miracle, come 3pm the rain had stopped and their friends and family could begin setting up the ceremony and reception site on a beautiful piece of family property in Dade City. When I arrived I knew I was going to LOVE this day as I began to look around. The most original, unique, vintage and antique backyard wedding I've ever seen. Everywhere I looked there was something colorful, elegant, vintage and fun! Aside from the decor, Courtney and John were an amazing couple! The moment I met Courtney I felt such a beautiful presence and it is so evident that John absolutely adores her. Although we got a late start to the ceremony due to the rain, everyone hung in there to get amazing photos and celebrate an amazing love. I'm so thankful to have been part of this day-I'm honored to be the one that captured these memories for their family! :)
Congratulations to Nicole and Travis who got married last weekend at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa, Florida!! From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the friendliest of staff who were there to help with whatever I needed and I am always so appreciative of those who do their job well, and even go out of the way to assist :) It was a beautiful venue, a gorgeous day, and Travis and Nicole {along with their friends and family} were so amazing! I'm not sure I've ever been thanked so many times throughout a wedding day for the work that I have been hired to do! These two are certainly some very special people! One of the most touching moments of the whole day was when Travis' dad, who also happened to be his best man, gave the toast at the reception. There was not a dry eye in the room {including me!} The love between father and son was spectacular to see and it carried over into every aspect of the day. The love Nicole and Travis share is beyond words and it is so evident with how he looked at her, touched her gently, and allowed her to really be "herself" at every moment of the day. I am so thankful when couples trust me during their formals and allow me to say, "Hey! Lets do this, then this, then this!" and they are 100% with me on it. We had 30 minutes to shoot bride/groom formals and had a few places to hit before the sun went down. Starting on the 14th floor of The Grand Hyatt in Armani's restaurant we jumped on the elevator to go downstairs, ran outside to take our first set of formals, jumped back on the elevator to go back up 14 floors, set up my lights really quick, moved some furniture around, climbed on top of the furniture, and posed their little booties off while the sun went down over Tampa Bay. Phew! So glad they stuck with me through it because I am so happy with the results! A special thanks to their bridal party for a super fun formal inside the lounge during the reception as well! I'm so happy for Travis and Nicole and I cannot wait to see where their life takes them :)
Congratulations to Brianne and Kyle who got married last weekend at The Sirata on St. Pete Beach! I loved getting to know these two over the past year through their engagement session and also keeping up with them on social media. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer {especially a wedding photographer} is really forming relationships with my couples - I love the friendships that I get to make! :) These two were incredibly patient and definitely went with the flow on their wedding day...it rained the whole day {the WHOLE day}...so adjustments had to be made. We got a bit creative with some formals under an umbrella, carried Brianne's dress and veil very high off the ground every where we walked, and photographed our bridal party formals in the reception hall before letting guests in. We are so thankful Brianne and Kyle trusted us to take care of them on their wedding day! Now I must admit I LOVE taking detail photos at weddings, but this one I especially had fun with! I wanted to bring The Sirata lobby furniture home with me {see below} and the centerpieces were so fun! A special shout out goes to Bling Bling Bloom who provided amazing floral arrangements and Georgia Kaden who killed it {as usual} on makeup! So happy for you guys!
Congratulations to Lucy and Bryan who got married at an adorable little church in Dunedin, FL. Historic Andrew's Memorial Chapel was built in 1871 and has all the charm and vintage appeal that is elegant and classic. There is nothing like having a wedding in a church that you just know 1,000's of people have fallen in love and started their lives together in. This couple was absolutely beautiful and a true pleasure to work with. I love a bride who is open to letting me use my {creative} on her! We had a gorgeous day that felt a little bit like fall and the perfect overcast day for stunning portraits! Lucy is of Bulgarian heritage and her family was just adorable as I tried to speak to some of them {who didn't speak English!} I learned a few words in Bulgarian so I could shout out to them as we were doing family formals :) The reception was something I've never seen before....growing up in the Greek community {Tarpon Springs} I've experienced the European celebrations but this was a whole different level of celebratory fun! Native dances and new customs were an integral part of the reception and I loved being introduced to it! Everyone was incredibly nice, so full of joy, and thanked me 100 times! I felt honored to be a part of this special day. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration and many wishes of happiness for your lifetime of love, Lucy and Bryan!
Caryn and "Doc" got married at a quaint little lodge in North Carolina called Spruce Pine Lodge. I have known Caryn since I was about six years old and I'm so glad we've kept in touch throughout our growing and changing lives! She looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day, and the two of them smiled from ear to ear all day long {as you can see in almost every photo!} They say its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, and they got that out of the way early in the day as it poured big fat rain drops for a good portion of the morning, then the sky parted and the world was calm as these two professed their love for each other in front of friends and family. My husband and partner, Clint, did an amazing job taking the wheel during the wedding and I'm so grateful for him! I also want to give a huge special thanks to one of my best friends, Jessi, who assisted at the wedding and did an amazing job as well! I am so happy for Caryn and Doc- they compliment each other so well and they both deserve a lifetime of happiness!
